Odem put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Taft 35-14. The win was familiar territory for Odem, who now have nine in a row.

Odem’s offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 19 points in the first half. Taft wasn’t quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 19-14 heading into the break. The offense for Odem continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 16 points to put the game away.

Senior Matthew Ramirez was the offensive standout of the match for Odem, as he rushed for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 carries. They also got a significant boost from senior Tevin Moreno, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.

Odem have yet to lose this season, and the victory brought them up to 9-0.
